It's always important to the media that no one on the left be portrayed in a negative or unflattering way. Example: Obama's budget was this week voted down in the U.S. House of Representatives by the stunning vote of 414-0. This means he couldn't even get one member from his own party to support his budget.
Embarrassing? Yes. But you'd never know about the defeat if you read Canadian news sources. The national media is so uniform in viewpoint there's no mention of this vote in the Toronto Star, Globe and Mail, National Post, CBC News or even the Toronto Sun.
